This causes many to ask the question: Where is this economy leading us?

But, a better question is this:

How can we STIMULATE FAITH AND TRUST within ourselves and persons everywhere, encouraging them NOT to be led by the economy, but by our living, loving Lord...

...finding our HOPE and STRENGTH in God, regardless of where the economy goes?

That's the important question. And we've created an amazing ministry to help persons everywhere deal with everything they are facing today.

When we launched our weekly-televised one-hour worship service - the Hour of Power - in 1970, we had no idea IF or how long it would last.

We launched it on FAITH in God, with the help of thousands of believers who made the miracle happen.

Forty years later, we are still on television.

We're praying for another miracle today: a powerful outpouring of summer financial help as we face unprecedented economic challenges to keep our televised ministry alive in the summer of 2009.

For the past 10 years, our weekly viewership ratings have remained constant - 1.6 million persons in America watch, and are encouraged by, our televised ministry every week.

But today, these viewers are giving less. We're not sure why, but the economy isn't helping.

And, every week there are simply individuals watching who somehow think that "someone else will help keep the Hour of Power alive."

To reduce significant costs while trying to keep up with receding revenue dollars, we recently made the prayerful decision to cancel 33 television stations in America that were airing our half-hour version of the Hour of Power.

At the same time, we purchased a full Sunday hour on on Daystar Cable where persons in these 33 markets (and across America) can continue to see the Hour of Power (as well as at www.hourofpower.org).

We have not had to drop television stations that are carrying our full-hour program, yet. This would be a "last-ditch effort," and it would spell the beginning of the end for the beloved, televised Hour of Power.

WE MUST PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING...WE CAN, AND WE MUST.

The ONLY way we can prevail is to step out in FAITH - so we can continue to STIMULATE HOPE and FAITH in persons everywhere instead of succumbing to the fear and hopelessness that come with economic challenges.

We can only create this hope-filled STIMULUS together...
